Royal Soccer Club, a non-profit community organization, is host to thousands of children between the ages of 5 to 13 years old every year across 100 locations in 6 provinces. We are the largest grassroots summer soccer day camps in Canada. But more importantly, we are proud of the reputation we’ve built for the past 30 years of providing amazing summer day camp experiences to our ‘Royal’ families during the summer months of July and August.
At Royal Soccer, we are much more than just a soccer camp…we strive to provide the best possible camp experience for your child. Not only do campers receive soccer instruction and play games but our Royal Staff have a passion to teach life skills to our campers like leadership, problem solving and teamwork. Campers build their confidence and creativity because we foster an inclusive, engaging and active summer camp experience. We offer 2 different sessions you can register for:
- Morning Sessions
- Full Day Sessions (swim & non-swim option)
Our morning sessions are geared towards campers/families who just want a half day program and prefer a soccer focus. Our morning sessions consist primarily of learning and playing soccer including a daily warm up, individual skill development, fun team games, soccer scrimmages and mini-Royal Cups. These morning sessions are coached and supervised by our staff in an approximately 10 campers to 1 staff member environment (younger campers will have smaller ratios). Campers are grouped and coached by age, size and ability where possible.
All boys and girls aged 5 to 13 of any skill level, from never playing before to competitive rep players, are welcomed to register (for older competitive rep players, please contact us regarding your soccer expectations at camp). Children aged 5 must be turning 6 in the 2021 calendar year to participate.
We recognize that many of our campers attend for multiple weeks of camp, so we accommodate this by introducing weekly themes and vary up the games and skill exercises. Morning sessions run from 9am to 12noon with drop off from 8:30-9am and pick up from 12-12:30pm. We also offer extended care drop off and pick up times too.
Royal Soccer Club reserves the right to change or update our policies, terms and conditions and/or program as the Ministry of Health or health professionals may make recommendations and/or changes to the covid-19 guidelines prior to and/or during the summer. For more details about our MORNING sessions, click here »
Full Day Sessions
Our full days sessions are the most popular sessions for our families. They combine the morning sessions, as outlined above, with an afternoon session that may or may not include a leisure swim (option is selectable during registration process). All campers will play various camp games in the afternoon. Some campers who choose the swim option will also get a chance to swim at the nearby pool for approximately an hour each afternoon (some locations may not swim every day). If participating in the afternoon leisure swim, our campers are fully supervised by camp staff and pool lifeguards in accordance with the ratios and regulations.
There are limited spaces available for the afternoon ‘swim’ option to ensure supervision ratios are safe and meet the pool regulations. In some locations, children aged 5, 6 or 7 may not be able to choose the ‘swim’ option. If you have any swim concerns, speak to your onsite Supervisor or contact us at 1-800-427-0536. There might not be any soccer played in the afternoon sessions. Full day sessions run from 9am to 4pm with drop off from 8:30-9am and pick up from 4 – 4:30pm. We also offer extended care drop off and pick up times too.
